What if I told you that you could get high from a spice brought from the supermarket, and what if I told you it has been available right under your nose for years. Of all things it’s, Nutmeg. The idea of a Nutmeg High first came into the spotlight via YouTube a few years back, since then it’s popularity as a way to get high has been on the increase. However most people don’t know that Nutmeg has been used in Far Eastern cultures for ages.
What is Nutmeg?
In a nutshell, Nutmeg is a small brown nut that is ground up and used in cooking. It’s grown in many locations throughout the world and is a major export for some countries.
What’s in it?
No official research has been conducted on the effects of nutmeg and exactly how it alters consciousness. However myristicin and elemicin are most likely the mind-altering chemicals behind the nutmeg high.
How do you get high from it?
Ground Nutmeg powder is easly found, just visit your pantry or supermarket. It’s simple to take just eat about 2-3 tablespoons of the stuff. However this is easier said than done as Nutmeg Powder is not particularly great tasting, infact it tastes like crap. Therefore I would recommend you mix the powder with a juice or something along the same lines.
The quantity is important as too little will have no effect and too much can cause sickness. Also do not take on a empty stomach.
The effects?
Once ingested it will take 3-4 hours for the Nutmeg to start taking effect. It’s not an immediate effect and takes a while to be in full swing, you should be quite high at the 6-8 hour mark. Nutmeg will keep you high for about 24-36 hours, so make sure you don’t have to go to work.
As for the effect, it’s best described as the same as cannabis only slightly weaker. Some people have reported hallucinations and this was confirmed in our testing below.
Anyway below is a video diary of our experience with Nutmeg.

Any Side effects?
Yes, they are stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting and fever. However if you stick to the 2-3 tablespoons you should be just fine. The side effects normally come from overdose. Be aware not much is known about the long term effects from a Nutmeg High so take at your own risk.
When using Nutmeg make sure you drink lots water as it can cause dehydration (may be the cause of the side effects).
Disclaimer: Our site does have a disclaimer in relation to the use of this product. We do not condone the use of any illegal narcotic or drug. Use at your own risk. Nutmeg is legal and therefore we can not control the use of this substance so don’t contact us/haunt us if you get sick or somehow die from use.
Any Alternatives?
Okay, so is there anything on the market that is as strong but safer. Well yes, there actually is, you may want to check out Opi-8 and California Poppy. We have tested and reviewed them both and reckon they are just as good.
